Again step-by-step guide to adding new cargo for PttM without having to replace...
1: Extract base.scs to 18WoS Pedal to the Metal folder if you havent allready.
2: Remeber the folder name of you'r trailer and make sure there is no cargo allready signed for that trailer.
3: Open defs/cargos
4: Copy and paste any cargo folder and rename it to what ever you want. For example: newcargo
5: Open the "newcargo.def"
6: You see something like this:
extdefs "/defs/cargo_base.def"
def cargo:cargo_base {
name: "@@cn_poultry@@"
trailer:"ls_poultry"
variant:"0"
ico: "poultry.mat"
income:2
prestige:0
}
7. I colored the lines you need to edit(green lines you must edit, red lines you can edit if you want.
extdefs "/defs/cargo_base.def"
def cargo:cargo_base {
name: "@@cargo name here@@"
trailer:"trailer name here"
variant:"0"
ico: "poultry.mat"
income:2
prestige:0
}
8: Make sure variant is 0.
9: You'r done. Want to make own icon for cargo?-> Keep reading.
10: Open materials/ui/cargo
11: Copy and paste for example tube. So, you copy and paste ALL 4 folders: tube.mat tube.tobj tube.dds and tube_3d.mat
12: Rename all folders to: newcargo.mat newcargo.tobj newcargo.dds newcargo_3d.mat.
13: Change/rename the "tube" to "newcargo" in all 4 .def's.
14: Edit newcargo.dds in DXTBmp.
15. Go back to defs/cargos and open newcargo folder.
16: Change this: ico: "poultry.mat"
to this: ico: "newcargo.mat"
17: Open defs/companies and open any company .def
18. Add this: |newcargo:1.0
too produce line
add this: |newcargo to accept line.
19: Open PttM and see if it works. Open Showroom and find you'r trailer. If you done correctly, it should have the cargo name you put in the newcargo.def
20: If it give prism3d error:
1. Check error log and try to fix
1a. If no error in log, check all folders for typos and errors (yeah its the only way to find out!)
2. Cant solve? Post here for help.
